[June 1, 2023] – WARRENVILLE, IL and MONTMAGNY, QUEBEC, – Lakeside Book Company (“Lakeside”) announced today that it has acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of Marquis Book Printing, Inc. (“Marquis”).
Marquis is taking another step towards its Horizon 2025 strategic investment plan, announced in November 2021, with the commissioning of a brand-new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 LED UV press at its Montmagny plant.
Canadian and international book publishers searching for supply chain improvements will immediately benefit from new efficiencies and integration opportunities made possible by Marquis Book Printing’s acquisition of the book warehousing and distribution services of Georgetown Terminal Warehouses (GTW).
Marquis’ $30 million investment in world-class book production technologies and systems will create new solutions for book publishers.
Despite the negative impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the economy and within the printing industry, Marquis is announcing two significant investments at our Toronto plant.
