The Marquis’ Toronto plant is a leading Canadian print solutions provider, servicing the North American market for over 40 years. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and coaching to directors and department managers on all HR related areas;
  • Provide advice to leadership team on employee relations issues, including attendance management and conflict management;
  • Build effective relationships with operational departments to understand their business goals and to proactively identify and implement solutions that align with organizational strategies;
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection process for the organization, including screening candidates, conducting interviews, contacting references;
  • Coordinate and facilitates the onboarding programs, oversight of new hire onboarding, and oversight new employee integration over the probationary period;
  • Lead the talent management programs, including performance review cycle tracking, individual development plans, and succession planning;
  • Develop and implement documents on policies and employee reference handbooks;
  • Involvement in developing compensation and benefits systems;
  • Act as a resource person with respect to insurance, RRSPs and any benefits arising from the company’s human resources programs;
  • Strive to maintain a strong proactive, trusted relationships with all the employees;
  • Provide direction, support, and coaching, to various levels of management and employees on Health & Safety compliance matters. Participates and/or ensures Health & Safety Committees & meetings. Implements and improves safety management systems and processes;
  • Prepare and build consensus annual plans for plant wide H&S initiatives;
  • Develop designs and is responsible for the implementation and follow-through of the local processes. Follows up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis;
  • Ensure that appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents;
  • Develop and implement programs and services to reduce WSIB costs and short term and long-term absence costs through early intervention with good medical management, early and safe return to work processes, and by being a subject matter expert specific to WSIB, modified work, and accommodations;

 

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or a related discipline is required;
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive related experience in a Human Resources generalist;
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP);
  • Strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail in drafting various HR documents;
  • Proactive, analytical and service-oriented;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Experience working with relevant legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, the Human Rights Code, the Employment Equity Act, the Pay Equity Act, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with individuals, groups and external agencies;
  • Certificate in Health and Safety will be considered as an asset;
  • Change management experience will be considered as an asset.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years of experience on a High Quantity Digital presses (HP Indigo press 7,000 and up, Xerox IGEN, Canon Smart stream, Xeikon and/or sheet-fed offset)
  • Secondary/High School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • College diploma or degree considered an asset
  • Highly skilled in ensuring high quality
  • Excellent ability to follow processes and solve problems
  • Troubleshooting experience and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Commitment to work all shifts (days, afternoons, nights) and continental shifts (12 hour rotating shifts: 7AM-7PM., 7PM-7AM)
  • Level 1 & 2 HP Indigo Certification is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation of digital format printers and associated finishing equipment
  • Responsible for making plates for all offset presses on an as needed basis
  • At times, may be responsible for making plates while monitoring a job running on a digital press
  • Read, understand and follow work orders
  • Set-up jobs according to paper type
  • Review files thoroughly before setting up job

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2-3 years of related print manufacturing experience
  • Excellent computer skills, with previous use of POEM, Flex, Dayforce, Navision, and MS Office products (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook) preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts and additional hours as required to support business needs
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Customer focused approach to production
  • Lean Management or 5S training and certification is preferred
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Graphic Communications Management, or other related field of study is an asset

  • Administrative work to support the department

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. repetitively
  • Must follow work instructions and be able to read and write English
  • Basic math and problem solving skills are required
  • Ability to work all 8 hour shifts on a rotating basis (days, afternoon, nights)
  • Previous relevant job experience in manufacturing setting
  • Handwork experience would be an asset

  • Fill out the skid cards when they are being used
  • Ensuring quality while packing the cartons: check covers, books are well trimmed, check the glue to ensure quality
  • Oversee piling and delivering of books to check that everything is correctly sent out to customers
  • Assist with maintenance responsibilities as required
  • Other duties as required

Salarié dont la tâche principale consiste à réceptionner de façon sécuritaire, autonome, et efficace la marchandise.
 
FONCTIONS ET TÂCHES :
Réceptionner dans le système informatique la bonne quantité de marchandise après avoir fait les vérifications nécessaire;
S’assurer que la marchandise reçu correspond au bon fournisseur;
Identifier les palettes de papier avec les bonnes informations et les mettent dans la bonne zone;

Technicien en informatique
 

Relevant du directeur de l’informatique, le technicien en informatique sera responsable d’assurer le soutien technique pour différents outils et logiciels tels que les postes de travail, les outils bureautiques, les logiciels « maison » (internes), etc., de rédiger des procédures informatiques, d’assurer un bon service à la clientèle interne (répondre aux questions, résoudre les problèmes, offrir de la formation) et d’assister les administrateurs informatiques dans leurs tâches quotidiennes, tout en ayant quelques projets sous leurs responsabilité dans le développement du système informatique de l’entreprise.

Plus spécifiquement, les principales responsabilités sont de :

  • Agir en tant que point de contact unique aux employés en fournissant des services de soutien techniques de premier niveau pour différents outils, logiciels et équipements (réseaux, connections, applications, postes de travail, appareils mobiles).

  • Configurer, assembler et/ou préparer les équipements informatiques ou de télécommunications (Postes, Portables, Imprimantes, Téléphones, Cellulaires, etc.) selon les procédures en place et participe à l’amélioration et aux mises à jour de celles-ci.

  • Assurer le maintient de l’inventaire (matériel et logiciels) dans le système de gestion de l’entreprise.

The term of the contract : Two(2) years, five(5) days per week, Monday to Friday, 40hours per week. Overtime is paid.

Salary: Between $30.00 and $37.75 per hour

Job overview 

The incumbent is primarily responsible for planning the installation and the commissioning of new production technologies with inkjet technology equipment. He or she works closely with the Industrial Engineering Department to install the equipment to optimize the quantity and quality of production, and reliability of the equipment.

He or she is responsible for analyzing production and non-compliance reports and making the appropriate technical adjustments to the equipment. As a technical expert in inkjet solution, he makes the necessary adjustments to ensure that the equipment meets the expected performance standards. He or she provides technical support as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment. 

Tasks

  • Provide performance management and preventative maintenance of inkjet equipment;

  • Identify, prevent and solve technical problems of inkjet equipment;

  • Develop and implement innovative technical solutions;

  • Participate in the installation of a set of equipment and interfaces with inkjet technology;

  • Develop training programs and provide training to operators;

  • Act as technical advisor in support to production teams;

  • Keep the parts inventory up to date;

  • Read and interpret electrical plans;

  • Participate in optimizing the inkjet solution;

  • Actively participate in improving product and process.

Job requirements

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in analyze equipment performance reports and make the necessary technical adjustments;
     
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as technical training to teams;
     
  • Have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a mechanical technician;
     
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical manager in a related field;
     
  • Hold a post-secondary training in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent;
     
  • Linguistic proficiency: French compulsory, English an asset.

LE RÔLE DE  PRESSIER :

  • Salarié dont la tâche principale consiste à opérer et entretenir de façon autonome, sécuritaire et efficace les presses rotatives, dont les 4 couleurs et dont il a normalement la charge.

 

FONCTIONS ET TÂCHES :

  • Réaliser tous les travaux d’impression dans un temps optimal, donner une bonne qualité de travail et limiter la gâche ;
  • Surveiller le fonctionnement et la qualité du produit pendant le tirage et effectuer les correctifs si nécessaire ;
  • Informer le superviseur du travail à faire, de celui réalisé et de toute anomalie ;
  • Coordonner le travail du personnel qui lui est assigné par le superviseur ;
  • Assurer le bon fonctionnement des équipements qui lui sont confiés ;
  • Préparer la presse selon les indications du dossier de production ;
  • Réaliser le programme d’entretien selon le calendrier établi ;
  • Se procurer le matériel nécessaire aux travaux ;
  • Effectuer des tâches auxiliaires.

 

EXIGENCES :

  • Posséder une formation en impression (DEP ou DEC), une expérience de quatre (4) ans sur les presses rotatives dont au moins une à titre de pressier Rotative en noir et blanc ou toute combinaison de formation et d’expérience jugée équivalente;
  • Avoir démontré des qualités de leader positif et une bonne capacité à diriger;
  • Avoir réussi le test d’aptitude du métier (WPT) ou avoir démontré sa capacité à effectuer le travail sur une presse rotative en couleur et même sans toute l’automatisation;
  • Connaître les propriétés physiques des matières premières utilisées selon le produit à réaliser ainsi que leurs réactions physiques aux différentes conditions;
  • Connaître et utiliser adéquatement les équipements et les ressources matérielles requises afin de détecter les problèmes;
  • Connaître les principes de mécanique, d’hydraulique, de pneumatique, d’électricité, d’électronique et d’informatique;
  • Être ouvert à la critique, sociable, ouvert aux changements et en mesure de supporter le stress (Analyse  ADO);
  • Avoir une bonne capacité d'apprentissage afin d’atteindre rapidement et conserver les standards requis;
  • Faire preuve d'autonomie, ne pas avoir besoin de surveillance constante pour accomplir le travail requis;
  • Connaître l’ensemble du processus de production graphique et les normes de qualité en application;
  • Réagir rapidement et efficacement aux changements constants et aux délais très courts de production;
  • Savoir travailler en équipe, reconnaître les priorités, prendre des décisions et résoudre des problèmes;
  • Avoir démontré une excellente logique mécanique (Test Bennett), du jugement, de la flexibilité et une bonne dextérité manuelle;
  • Savoir lire et comprendre les spécificités inscrites sur les dossiers de production;
  • Avoir une bonne condition physique, de l’initiative et le souci du détail;
  • Posséder le sens de l’organisation du travail.
